swinging along.
i remember this song i used to play on the piano when i was a kid. swinging along. singing a song. wearing a smile as long as a mile. i like to play. music all day. life tunes with style are real. worth while... a few weeks ago i relived the childhood experience of swinging as high as i could on a swing at night. i hopped onto the back of a mustard old scooter with a friend and we found ourselves on the edge of a stream at some old school swings. when i say that this was one of the most invigorating things i've done in a while it's not an exaggeration. the wind through my hair, the cold night air, the butterfly feeling in the pit of my stomach as i went higher and higher made me feel young and carefree and exhilerated. it just goes to show how we tend to neglect the simple things in life. something as simple as swinging: letting your head fall back and breathing in the fresh air as it swishes past your face and going as high as you can just because you can.taking you back to your childhod. when everything was simple. when we had no worries. when we laughed. a lot.
