laugh more worry less
sometimes you have to resign yourself to the fact that everything is going to be ok
let your worries be carried away by the wind
scattered to far corners of the earth where they dissipate and become the ground
the rain. the sun.
rise from your rocking chair.
let the wind tousle your hair.
and know that all is not lost
you are never alone
this day is yours. and the next.
dont feel perplexed.
open your arms.
breathe in the air.
do something you wouldnt dare.
dont die. awake your soul.
and feel whole......

her heart is drenched in wine
she does not care about the normal things. her heart is drenched in wine.
her mind is made from jungle jims.
her feet caress the grass beneath,
her hair wild with the wind.
inside her head the happy thoughts swing on the monkey bars.
confusion on the merry go round
indicisiveness spins spins spins profound.
and
while she sleeps she weeps
one solitary tear
for all humanity's sins
for mother nature's pain
and for the love she feels in vain.

a bus to barcelona.
there is a moon in europe
banana shaped glowing surreal
something about the way it makes me feel
vicky christina crazy beautiful
sunflower field dreams
nothing is what it seems
pipas at the bus stop but it never came
vino tinto and an old friend
a journey with no forseeable end
to nowhere everywhere anywhere
i miss you in my life
barcelona by night
a feather in her hair
a stare
getting lost because you can
beautiful spanish man
no regrets living free
a summer spent so magically
nip slips
an expired film
let go
embrace
see a story in every face and
find your happy place

it's cherry season.
although sometimes i don't know where i'm going to sleep tonight i know that everything will be fine and there's more to life right now than a fancy job or material things. its about experience and love and new places and feeling content with yourself. its about letting go and feeling free. spending summers so magically.

my poem is nameless.
Mesmerising sunsets frying my thoughts
Orange hues causing Monday blues
Contemplating life with thoughts of loss
Clouded by pain as Sunsets wax and wane
gavin dormehl

lost in the forest.
Lost in the forest, I broke off a dark twig
and lifted its whisper to my thirsty lips:
maybe it was the voice of the rain crying,
a cracked bell, or a torn heart.
Something from far off it seemed
deep and secret to me, hidden by the earth,
a shout muffled by huge autumns,
by the moist half-open darkness of the leaves.
Wakening from the dreaming forest there, the hazel-sprig
sang under my tongue, its drifting fragrance
climbed up through my conscious mind
as if suddenly the roots I had left behind
cried out to me, the land I had lost with my childhood---
and I stopped, wounded by the wandering scent.

i think it's time to go.
sometimes life passes you by like towns on a highway. but there are moments. moments that are imprinted in your memory. moments that will last forever. no matter how fleeting. they are moments of the soul. where everything comes together to create a beautiful harmony. singing songs around the fire. hot cross bums. camping in the rain. wobies: warm old brown sherry. write a note. put it in a grolsch bottle and throw it into the ocean. i'm doing cartwheels. you're doing handstands. a cave in the mountain perfect for sharades. crayfish in lemon garlic butter. gem squash stuffed with sweetcorn, coriander and cheese. fire popcorn. a bath without a plug. tea or coffee? never ever. have i ever. say yes. collect shells on the beach. drive topless. dance under the stars while they are dancing.
